Ellen Welch

Ellen is a veteran actor on the Olde Towne stage. Audiences will remember her from performances in 'Barefoot In The Park'; 'The Cemetery Club'; 'Chapter Two'; 'Steel Magnolias' and 'The Odd Couple.' She has performed elsewhere in 'Much Ado About Nothing' and 'The Tragical History of Dr. Faustus.' Her favorite roles are as M'Lynn in 'Steel Magnolias' and as Beatrice in 'Much Ado About Nothing.' She and her husband Dave have a son Nate, daughter Larel and her husband Natan, daughter Eve and her husband Brian and their daughter Mackenzie. Ellen received her BA from Yankton College, and her MA from South Dakota State University. Mrs. Welch is a Spanish Teacher at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls. She also enjoys reading, writing poetry and watching TV.
